At the core of GDGWI’s philosophy is the earnest desire to be at the forefront of new educational thinking and to bring about positive change in everything we do.  The energetic and continuous pursuit of research is at the heart of this effort and has been so ever since the Institute was established.  GDGWI has always believed that research and teaching are equally responsible for defining the character and culture of the Institute

GDGWI as an institute and its individual faculty members value research because it is a fundamental part of academics and knowledge creation. The faculty constantly publishes in reputed international referred journals. Some of them are also on the review boards of the journals.  The Institute and faculty have developed a reputation for world class research.

A researcher brings the research thinking and questioning attitude to the classroom, which can inspire the young minds. GDGWI has a strong and long term commitment to research and every possible step is taken to encourage it.

Being partners with Lancaster University provides many opportunities to engage in collaborative research. Lancaster India Center at Lancaster University has been the primary vehicle for joint research and workshops that are held at, both, GD Goenka World Institute and Lancaster University.
