On Thursday 23rd November 2017, as has been the practice in the past four years, two senior staff from Mountbatten Institute visited G D Goenka World Institute to explain Internship opportunities in New York and London. Twenty-two students from G D Goenka World Institute and G D Goenka University attended the forum. Dr Yogini Joglekar (Director, Asia Pacific) and Dr. Phenthip Chomprang (Director, Marketing and Recruitment) from Mountbatten Institute addressed the students.
Mountbatten Institute is a not-for-profit organisation. It facilitates selection interviews and provides free accommodation and a stipend ($1,000/month in New York and £700 in London) to students who are then successfully placed in organisations in the UK and USA for periods of up to one year. Concurrently, students are required to undertake advanced study leading to either Post Graduate Certification in International Business or Masters in Entrepreneurial Management or Master of Business Administration in International Business Practice. Students are required to undertake these programmes on a part-time basis at either St. Mary’s University or Chester University. In 2015, Anam Iqbal, one of GD Goenka’s PGDBM students, successfully obtained Mountbatten Institute support for an internship with Citibank in New York. Anam now works with Burberry Group in London.
