As part of the Corporate Connect Series Lecture at GDGWI, We were more than delighted to welcome Ms. Rita Soni - CEO - NASSCOM Foundation on 12th October, 2012.She shared her experience and brief about “Create Value Responsibility - MBA Oath”. The session was highly informative and interesting which lead to adding value to the students.

The lecture conducted by Ms. Soni (CEO, NASSCOM) was very informative it gave a lot of insight on socially responsible organizations. The experiences shared by her gave a first-hand account of socially responsible Indian Corporate and their policies/opinion towards being a sustainable organization. Overall the lecture encouraged attendants to think about sustainability in whichever career they pursue in future.

This is in reference to the seminar which held on 12th October 2012. The guest lecturer emphasize mainly on social responsibility of the Corporate which is a very important aspect for any business to survive and grow in this competitive world. She shared her ample experience which is really a very good taking for all. She was very much involved on all the matters which gave everyone a chance to share their views. Overall the experience we gained as students was very useful and it will help us when we actually work in the corporate world.

Visited our campus on 21st September, 2012, for an interactive session with Finance students on the topics "Stock Market in India and Concept of a stock Market and its function. In his session he educated students on the importance of Stock Market.

Dr. Rachna Bhatia - Sr. Manager - Black Belt Corporate - Genpact Limited, visited our Campus on Thursday, September 20, 2012 for an interactive learning session with the students. Dr. Rachna Bhatia shared her personal experience in Corporate world in different domains. She also talk about the basics of Seven Habits of Highly Effective Managers. She also touch upon the basics of Quality Lean six sigma. The session was highly interactive.

I am enormously appreciative and privileged as a part of the guest lecture by Mr. Kamal Singh, Director, All India Management Association (AIMA) at our campus and I was impressively inspired by his words as well as his thoughts on challenges in the business world and qualities required to be a successful and dynamic manager. Many facts discussed and argued in the point of view of industrialist outlook. We all had a great conversation and even we came to know more about many industries owners’ with their passion to be on top most lists in commerce. And we were very thankful by having him in our institution for creating our ideas more concrete for future conception.

It was a great learning process for me indeed. I learnt on how to improve my skills, and what is needed to be someone big in life. Mr. Singh’s presentation talked about the changes that are taking place in our life and how we should adapt to them.

Mr. Ravi Pratap Singh (Well known as RP) - President, Nucleus School of Banking Technology (NSBT) A division of Nucleus Software Exports Ltd visited Campus on October 13, 2011 to interact with students as part of the Corporate Connect Series Lecture. During his interaction, he touched upon the various aspects of IT and its application in Banking and Financial Sector. The key deliverable from his talk was as how IT is integrating in BFSI segment and its key role in determining the success and failure of such businesses.

Mr. R P Singh gave a wonderful lecture on the integration between IT and Banking Sector. He gave an insight on how technology plays a crucial role in the success of any business. The session with him was quite informative as well as interactive with students taking active part in the QandA session.

Today's session with Mr. R P Singh was extremely informative and interesting. The synchronization of banking and IT was an entertaining concept. This knowledge and experience could not have been given in a class room.

In continuation to our efforts for facilitating industry learning and knowledge enrichment for the students we had one of industry thought leaders, Mr. Aquil Busrai at our campus on Monday, October 3, 2011 as part of the Corporate Connect Series at GDGWI.

Mr. Aquil Busrai is the former Executive Director - Human Resources of IBM India and Chief Executive Officer at Aquil Busrai Consulting. This was an interactive and knowledge sharing session which was an excellent learning opportunity for our students. Mr. Busrai shared his learning from his vast knowledge and experience across different facets of an organization which added immense value and even newer dimensions to their though process.

We had a very healthy and knowledgeable discussion on the present HR processes along with basic parameters like "what employers are looking for in terms of skills, experience and values". We also discussed as how under the seriousness of present competition, the ability to differentiate from others in terms of values is required and how to impress these values to increase productivity.

Mr. Busrai 's principle of CAR which means Capability of mind, Applicability and relationship development was a valuable insight into the key factors that are a must for everyone specially fresh management graduates entering an organization.

As part of the Corporate Connect Series at GDGWI, Mr. Avadhesh Dixit, Global Head-Human Resources at CMC Limited (A Tata Enterprise) visited the campus on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 for an interactive learning session with the students. Mr. Dixit in his session shared the growth story of CMC Limited, Critical Jobs and Career Path in the IT Sector and the expectations of corporate India from emerging leaders of the future. The session was highly interactive and insightful which lead to adding value to the student’s perspective towards the IT sector.

The session initially was an informal one but later became the two way communication, with lots of our queries answered very effectively by Mr. Dixit. The main focus of the session was more on the job analysis and the culture of the company in the sense of recruitment.

Erchit Sood (PGDBM 2nd Year):
The session with Mr. Avadhesh Dixit was unlike any other in the sense that it covered a wide array of topics. He was keen on answering our questions, quelling our fears and concerns.

Mr. Aman Preet Singh Banga, Manager - Knight Frank was on campus on September 26, 2011. He interacted with students on the topic" Life Cycle of Indian Shopping Centre". He covered various aspects of Mall Management, Retail Marketing and Strategy and also educated students on the importance of research in retail sector.

Mr. Vineet Singh, Business Head of 99 Acres.com and Naukrigulf.com visited campus on September 21, 2011 and interacted with students and faculty members. During his Interaction with students, he talked about the emerging opportunities at real estate sector in India and the career growth it promises. He also talked about the global slowdown and its impact. He also touch upon the job scenario in India and abroad and how one can align with the right opportunity.

Mudit Garg (PGDBM 2nd Year):
Session with Mr. Vineet Singh was a learning one, where he shared his experience as how to approach customers and deliver as per his requirements to sustain in the business.

Rajesh.Ch (PGDBM 2nd Year):
Session with Mr. Vineet Singh was very interactive, where he guided us as how business functions in the online environment. Overall it was a great experience of learning as how actually a firm works and competes with competitors in Real Estate sector.

As part of the Corporate Connect Series at GDGWI, Mr. Amit Kumar Jhalaria, Sr. Manager (Credit) from Standard Chartered Bank enthralled students with his talk on “Risk Management in Banks”. In his very interactive session with students, he initiated with the basics of Banking and smoothly elevated the level of the discussion to various risks in Banks and how the banks manage their risks. With a vast experience form the Banking industry he was a lot of value add to the students.
