MEng Computer Systems Engineering is a four-year programme aims to equip graduates with a sound foundation in the essentials of engineering science, together with a deeper capability in their computer systems engineering specialism, so that they acquire characteristics of future leaders of the engineering professions and are well prepared to cope with changes that will occur in their professional life.
Lancaster University’s engineering programmes require students to commence with fundamental engineering modules from the first year of their study.
Student numbers are strictly controlled to provide personalized engagement with academic staff members. Typically, class sizes are only about 25 students. Students also pursue a range of foundation courses in areas such as mathematics and technical communication.
The Institute also operates a ‘Buddy Programme’ through its “Student Welfare Centre”. Under this programme an academic staff member works one-on-one and shadows a student all through his stint at the Institute.
TRANSFER TO LANCASTER UNIVERSITY, UNITED KINGDOM
Students who qualify (based on class performance, performance in assessments, discipline, attendance records etc.) are eligible to transfer to Lancaster University in the final year o MODULESf their programme. Students who transfer will be required to pay the fees charged by Lancaster University and will be entitled to all benefits that students studying in the UK Campus are entitled to.
MEng students can exit the programme on satisfactorily completing three years MODULESof study. If students choose to do this, they will be eligible for a BEng if the academic prerequisites for a BEng degree are fulfilled.
CAREER AND ADVANCED STUDY
Lancaster University’s engineering qualifications opens up opportunities for rewarding careers in private sector organizations in India and abroad. Lancaster University qualifications are also unequivocally accepted as requisite qualifications for advanced study in top-tier universities worldwide.
The Institute’s “Placement and Industry Internship Centre” supports students in various ways (though industry visits, competency building workshops, workshops on soft skills and communication etc.) to seek and compete for positions and internships in India and abroad.
