Career overview

Alan Bell holds a Doctor of Business Administration from University of Newcastle on Tyne. He is also a Chartered Psychologist. Alan has been at the forefront of international small business and entrepreneur development, strategic development, inward investment, innovative marketing and market research and HRM development globally. He has developed innovation in technology transfer/product swapping to assist SME export development and global entry. His strengths lie in his ability to apply psychology to business situations and develop innovative solutions to developmental problems. He has lectured to business people and students worldwide having been Professor of Strategy at the EUL in Cyprus, ESC Rouen and ESC Rennes in France, Teesside University in the UK and Mountbatten Institute which operates out of New York, London and Bangkok. Dr Bell was also Director of Marketing at EUL and Director of the M.B.A. programmes at Rennes and Teesside.

He has successfully designed, developed and delivered franchised international masters degrees and has developed MBA’s and other post graduate degrees specifically in international strategy and entrepreneur development for business schools in France and the UK. He has produced programmes worldwide for a variety of cultures and taught multicultural groups.

Alan has undertaken research into entrepreneur development, strategic choice and decision making being involved in psychological and business research identifying the existence of ‘critical junctures in decision-making’ and introducing a psychological approach to business understanding. He is currently researching entrepreneur psychological attitudes and perceptions which affect business decision making and development. Dr. Bell holds a Private Pilot’s License
