Summer@Goenka

The Summer@Goenka programme is an opportunity for Lancaster University students from the Lancaster campus, SUNWAYand COMSATS to gain first-hand experience of the outreach programmes and the Social Responsibility initiatives at the Goenka India campus. For three weeks, our overseas colleagues can expect to immerse in the Indian culture and collaborate closely with their peers and community seniors at Goenka to further our efforts to make a lasting difference in our community and society through active engagement.

A strong sense of service and a hands-on approach to problem solving are deeply ingrained in the programme philosophy. We believe each one of us has a role to play in the change we seek.

An initiative of GDGWI Contribute

Summer@Goenka is an initiative of the student-driven body GDGWI Contribute, supported by the Student Development Centre at Goenka. We strive to holistically develop our members as international leaders, by providing exposure to community, industry, media, non-profit organizations and government. Keeping corporate social responsibility as our prime focus, we enable our members and other stakeholders to understand the importance of aligning corporate goals with greater societal needs.

Active Engagement Projects

Over the three-week programme, you will work closely in several leadership, civic engagement and international developmental opportunities. Participate in meaningful projects, give back to society, meet with stalwarts from different walks of life and forge friendships with new friends from abroad!

Whether you seek to attend the summer school for the benefits of experiential learning, to enhance your employability quotient or simply to enjoy yourself in an incredible, energetic atmosphere, our varied and vivid range of projects are designed to appeal to all sorts of thinking and questioning minds.
